A partnership with the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and a contest for young aspiring visual artists

As part of the 35th edition of the Just for Laughs Festival presented by Vidéotron in partnership with Loto-Québec, HAHA-ART, an exciting visual arts component will feature two free installations featuring the “celebration” theme with humour. These will animate daily the Espace Georges-Émile-Lapalme inside Place des Arts between 9am and 1pm from July 15th to the 30th.

Presentation in collaboration with the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts
The Just for Laughs Festival and URBANA Marketing are partnering up with the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) to present poster adaptations featuring works from its collection with a novel and humoristic touch.
As the Just for Laughs Festival turns 35 and Montreal celebrates its 375th anniversary, several classical works held by the MMFA - integrating graphic interventions by Emmanuel Laflamme specially conceived for this occasion - will amaze by their festive look and their sense of humor

Youth finalists’ Exhibition from the HAHA-ART Visual Arts Contest benefiting the Children's Wish Foundation
For the Festival’s 35th edition the international visual arts competition combining art and humor that was previously featuring professional visual artists is presented under a new format, hence showcasing the works of young Quebecers aged 18 years old for the benefit of the Children’s Wish Foundation, which since its creation has helped realize approximately 25,000 dreams of children with different diseases that threaten their lives.

The 5 winning pieces, so those that received the most online votes in each category (0 to 4 years, 5 to 8 years, 9 to 12 years, 13 to 15 years and 16 to 18 years), will be exhibited at Place des Arts from July 15th to 30th. These works of art will be auctioned for the benefit of the Children's Wish Foundation.
Since its launch in spring of 2017, the HAHA-ART contest as fortunate enough to have comedian Billy Tellier as spokesperson.
