Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, Place des Arts has suspended all shows and other public activities until further notice. As a result, the Flavours of Spain: Carmen and The Three-Cornered Hat concert scheduled on April 30 has been cancelled. Ticket holders will be reimbursed directly.

This concert showcases the renowned conductor Juanjo Mena, who concludes the Spanish Festival with a magnificent programme reminiscent of his native Spain. Arias from Bizet's Carmen are rendered with sensuality by Clara Mouriz and the OSM, joined by Antonio Marquez and his fiery dancers in a rarely seen performance of Manuel de Falla's ballet The Three-Cornered Hat. Works by Clermont Pépin and Joaquín Turina round out the programme.

Bizet, Carmen, Suites nos. 1 & 2, excerpts
Clermont Pépin, Guernica
Joaquín Turina, Danzas fantásticas, op. 22: III. “Orgia”
De Falla, El sombrero de tres picos (The Three Cornered Hat), Suites nos. 1 & 2
