Charles Richard-Hamelin won the silver medal and the Krystian Zimerman Prize for best performance of a sonata at the Frédéric Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2015. He is now regarded as one of the most important pianists of his generation. This summer he returns to Lanaudière to help celebrate the Festival’s 40th anniversary season with a carefully chosen program of works by some of his favorite composers.
