Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, Place des Arts has suspended all shows and other public activities until further notice. However, beyond this suspension of activities, certain productions have been obliged to postpone or cancel their shows. Festival de Lanaudière has had to cancel its 2020 season. Ticket holders will be contacted by email about the procedures to be implemented.
Last summer at the Festival, Marc-André Hamelin performed a Brahms concert that was nothing less than historic. In this year of Beethoven’s 250th anniversary, the Quebec super-virtuoso hailed as the “pianist of all pianists” joins Yannick Nézet-Séguin and the Orchestre Métropolitain for the complete cycle of the great master’s piano concertos. A meeting at the top, an exceptional achievement, and a “must hear” of summer fare in Lanaudière.
