Community Training Program

The Community Training Program allows members of various communities—both youths and adults—to express their creativity in a variety of performing arts-related workshops. All of the workshops are designed to meet the needs of the various participants and are led by a team of seasoned cultural mediators.

Art adapté

The Art adapté program offers introduction to the performing arts workshops that have been custom designed for individuals with functional limitations. Workshops focused on choral singing, percussive music, creative dance, and expressive interpretation are open to groups of participants who have received advance training from social, community, cultural, or health care organizations.

At the conclusion of each series of workshops, participants are invited to share the fruits of their explorations in a public performance at Place des Arts.

In 2020, the program won the Monique-Lefebvre Prize, awarded by the AlterGo organization.

Youth Art adapté

The Art adapté program also has a youth component for young people with functional limitations.

Introduction to the performing arts workshops will be specially created to meet the needs of young participants. The activities will target groups of participants who have undergone advance training from social, community, cultural, or health care organizations. Micro ouvert autochtone

Developed by Place des Arts in collaboration with various indigenous stakeholders in Quebec, this program will feature a series of workshops that introduce indigenous people to the performing arts and allow them to freely express themselves.

At the conclusion of the workshop series, participants will be invited to share their creative works in a public presentation at Place des Arts. Come back soon to learn more about this new program!
