Les FrancoFolies de Montréal is a true reflection of a healthy francophone music scene! Some 70 indoor shows and 180 free outdoor concerts bear witness to the quality, diversity, and vitality of its programming… brimming with musical madness!

The festival was founded in 1989 by Jean-Louis Foulquier, founder of Les FrancoFolies de La Rochelle, Alain Simard, founder of the Festival international de jazz de Montréal (FIJM), and Guy Latraverse. The Spectra team manages the event.

Every year, both Montrealers and tourists flood the festive FrancoFolies site in the Place des Arts area, right in the heart of downtown, over a ten-day period. It’s a gathering of the best that the francophone world and world music have to offer.

The festival features performances by francophone artists of different nationalities and from various musical backgrounds. Programming includes shows by well-known artists, current favourites, and up-and-comers. Free and ticketed shows are offered.
