HALVES is a reflection on shadows. Where do they go when we leave, where do they take refuge when the lights go out? While this question may appear nonsensical, it raises another question: what happens to a person or thing when its fundamental nature, its identity has been taken away? How can one dance in a vacuum? The shadows are like another self, those parts of us that live on the other side, buried deep within us, having strayed far from our reach. They are our love lost, evaporated, forfeited, fractured. They are our “if only…” regrets, our multiple broken deeds, our forgotten self.
